Hytera Secures the ASEAN 50 Summit in Philippines

Hytera, a leading global provider of innovative Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) solutions, secured the 50th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and related meetings with smooth and reliable communications. The summit and related meetings, which runs from November 10-14 in Manila, gather heads of state and government from the ten member countries and its dialogue partners.


Hytera, as the exclusive mission critical communication supplier, served the ASEAN Summit with an end-to-end two-way radio solution including the PD788 terminals and DMR Trunking Pro system. The reliable radio service is available in conference venues, airports, ferry ports, central business districts and main avenues throughout the entire ASEAN Summit. The Trunking Pro system is designed to offer complete mission critical radio services include recording, dispatching and NMS functions for a large number of users with high spectrum efficiency, wide coverage, flexible networking and high security. In addition, a dedicated project team was designated to secure the event.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN, was established on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand, with the signing of the ASEAN Declaration (Bangkok Declaration) by the Founding Fathers of ASEAN, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei Darussalam, Viet Nam, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Cambodia, making up what is today the ten Member States of ASEAN.ASEAN is both the world's seventh-largest market and third-largest labor force, and has been projected to become the fourth largest economic bloc by 2030.
