Background

The 2017 Expo was held in Astana, Kazakhstan, from 10 June to 10 September, 2017. Hytera was honored to be appointed as the official supplier of two-way radio communications for the operation of China Pavilion. As one of the most important pavilions, it covers an area of 1000 square meters. The theme of China Pavilion is "Future Energy and Green Silk Road". "Future Energy" will be essential for focusing on tackling energy crises and help promote energy sustainable development in the future.

The Challenge

    China Pavilion has a full schedule of themed activities for three months. During the whole Expo, China Pavilion hosted a total of 500,000 visitors, and there are 152 VIP guests from 64 countries and 8 international organizations. In addition, more than 200 economic and trade events were held in China Pavilion, around 100 operation personnel and volunteers worked in different groups. To ensure the order in the pavilion, communications security is extremely indispensable. Hytera had handed over digital two-way radios and set up talk groups according to the requirements of the operation team.

The Solution

To provide flexible, stable and clear wireless communication, Hytera supplied PD50X and PD60X hand-held radios along with earpieces. Hytera also offered comprehensive support for technical training.

The Benifits

Ease of use is of utmost importance to the whole solution. As many staff such as volunteers were transient, the radios needed to be simple to use, and easy to train someone up on. According to the customer, the PD50X and PD60X react quickly and efficiently by using one single button to communicate, it is easy for users to handle the Hytera handsets, which makes a huge difference.

 

From customers' feedbacks, the radio is lightweight, discreet and comfortable to carry throughout the whole day. The solution that Hytera offered is facilitated instant but clear communication between all staffs anytime and anywhere in the pavilion.

 

Good quality earpiece is extremely significant, as employees always had something like documents or microphone in hands. It freed their hands and was comfortable enough for users not to notice it, even after whole day's use.

 

The customer appreciated the extended battery life that allows greater time between charging. The PD50X and PD60X offered unrivalled battery life (In digital mode they operate at least 16 hours), ensuring the high quality works and communication system.
