I have spent a good chunk of my career around public safety communications at Hytera, and if there is one thing I have learned, it is this: the hardest part of an emergency is rarely the emergency itself. It is the noise around it. The panicked caller who cannot say where they are. The dispatcher juggling six screens at once. The officer walking into a scene with almost no idea what is waiting on the other side of the door.

One U.S. emergency director reported that in April 2024 alone, out of 9,635 calls received by the AI system, 2,920 calls were resolved without call-taker interaction, a 30.31% improvement in operational efficiency.
