From Anti-Tampering Technology to Encryption: Hytera's Multi-Layered Data Security Approach
PoC & MCS
In an increasingly connected world, protecting sensitive data on smart devices is paramount.
Hytera is committed to developing secure, smart portable terminals for industries facing evolving security challenges. Our multi-layered approach includes: Tampering and unauthorized access not only violate intellectual property but also endanger users. In response, Hytera is enhancing its efforts to develop safer terminals, incorporating anti-tampering technologies and advanced encryption to meet the industry's growing demand for data security.
Anti-Tampering Circuit Technology
Hytera has developed advanced anti-tamper circuit technology to safeguard its smart portable terminals. High-sensitivity sensors monitor the device’s physical condition, and if unauthorized access is detected, they instantly trigger a power cutoff, preventing any data breach. Once tampering is identified, the device becomes inoperable until serviced by the manufacturer.
This technology is integrated into Hytera's secured 5G smart handheld, the PNC560, which has earned wide recognition for its robust protection. The PNC560 is now in use across regions such as Southeast Asia and Africa, including by government agencies and security departments. Its strong encryption ensures sensitive data remains secure.
Hytera continues to enhance its security product lineup. Future products will feature dedicated encryption chips, higher encryption standards, and improved hardware and software security designs, addressing the stringent security needs of various industries.
Advanced Encryption for Software
Hytera enhances the security of its smart portable terminals with powerful encryption technologies. Secure Boot, TrustZone, and Strongbox technologies safeguard sensitive data and prevent leaks. Terminal's eMMC storage and CPUs are encrypted to prevent unauthorized access, even if the storage is removed. Additionally, encrypted firmware with fuse protection allows only authorized updates. Dual-domain isolation, Android sandbox mechanisms, file-based encryption (FBE), and biometric authentication provide further layers of data protection.
Smart MDM Platform
The Hytera Smart MDM (Mobile Device Management) platform offers centralized control over smart portable terminals, allowing users to manage configurations, applications, and monitor device status. It enforces compliance by regulating app installations, permissions, and system updates. In case of loss or theft, Smart MDM enables remote data wiping to safeguard sensitive information.
For example, the platform continuously tracks the device's hardware and software status, ensuring adherence to security standards. This proactive management helps reduce the risk of malware and unauthorized actions.
Innovative Security Designs
Hytera adopts a comprehensive security approach, utilizing advanced protocols to ensure secure network access and data transmission. Dual-channel VPN links are established to guarantee critical operations remain secure on private networks. Additionally, Hytera optimizes signal processing and encryption to boost hardware compatibility and performance. For location tracking, Hytera devices support multiple systems, including GPS, BDS, Glonass, and Galileo, providing users with highly accurate location data.
Hytera's dedication to innovation ensures safer and more reliable communication solutions for users worldwide. By proactively addressing security challenges and incorporating cutting-edge technologies, Hytera remains a leader in delivering secure and dependable communication tools to empower industries and individuals across the globe.
