As the biggest sea port in Kenya, Monbasa Port takes transportation of heavy crates as one of the principal things. In general, the mission should be finished in 24Hrs after the ship in store. Heavy traffic capacity with higher level stability and signal channel is required for the communications.
Technology Decline
KPA deployed Motorola Analogue system 20+ years ago. The aging facilities have limited the port communication and operation efficiency. Meanwhile, lower performance led to bad user experience, leading to the increasing workers complaining about the limited and poor signal coverage.
Poor Radio Management & Dispatching
The existing analogue equipment could only provide the voice service, which hardly meets the increasing high efficiency operation requirements. For the end-users, they need a system which offers comprehensive radio management & dispatching system.
The Solution
In order to meet the requirements of our customer, we suggested a program of replacing & upgrading the equipment from analogue to digital. Considering the busy transportation operation, we offered the DMR Trunking Lite system with DWS to realize a management & dispatching solution with higher stability and efficiency.
