mid-size to large-size networks, which are widely used by public safety and security,
metro, railway, utility, and airports. This centralized architecture can feature enhanced

mobility management, gateways to external PABX/PSTN gateways, etc.
The TETRA Distributed Architecture Solution allows the distribution of the TETRA switching
function and mainly applies to small and regional networks like airports, factories,
and ports. etc. It provides an extremely robust communication system completely avoiding
"Single Points of Failure" in system controller nodes and thus in the networks. The
full TETRA scope of functions is always available with distributed architecture. The
gateways to other networks (PABX/PSTN) can be mapped flexibly with all base stations
