Customer Demands

    - Large-area coverage

    - High efficiency of frequency and spectrum

    - Stable system and power supply

    - Reliable, easy-to-deploy network

What's more, a technology platform which allows network upgrade or expansion in future is required.

The Solution

MCS Digital supplied a Hytera six-site DMR Tier II network as a turnkey solution for their end-users. Licensed spectrum IP links were adopted to build the network backbone. MCS Digital chose Hytera RD98XS super repeater to help their end users upgrade their system in the future. MCS also bought MD78X mobile terminals and PD70X portables. The radios were programmed to roam automatically within the site to receive the strongest signal, making sure the users don't have to change channels

when their vehicles travel from one end of the network to the other.

MCS Digital also designed and built up a solar array. The company engineered a backup battery solution for each site, making sure the customers' network is always available.

MCS Digital monitors and diagnoses errors of the network remotely with Hytera RDAC application from their Melbourne office.

Benefits

With the installation of DMR Tier II Network, Multi-sites network end users don't have to change channels through the operator. The Hytera solution brings to MSC Digital's communication network with below features:

-Building backbone through licensed spectrum IP links,

-Radios were programmed to roam automatically within the sites to receive the strongest signal,

-One site was powered by solar,

-Monitoring and diagnosing errors of the network remotely with Hytera RDAC application.

The new radio network has reduced the reliance on mobile phone, where at some locations the mobile phone service was marginal.

The new radio network has increased the worker safety through always being connected and a trial of Man-down and Lone-Worker on a few of the remote users' radios.
