Keeping track of everyone’s location ensures safety, and instant voice calls and alerts are significant in emergencies. Hytera’s narrowband solution delivers reliable voice, GPS tracking, and short-data sharing through man-pack and pole repeaters, plus rugged handheld radios—keeping teams connected and protected.
- Underground mines are a different challenge. Tunnels twist and turn, making wired systems expensive and inflexible. Rock also weakens wireless signals. That’s why you need a flexible, reliable network—one that supports video, location tracking, and sensor data to keep teams safe and informed. For basic needs, the Hytera E-pole is a simple, move-as-you-go option. Repeaters connect automatically and link back to the control center over 4G/5G. As the mine expands, you simply move them ahead. For full coverage, the BDNode system is built specifically for tunnels. Fixed nodes are placed every 200–300 meters, using directional antennas in straight sections and omnidirectional ones at corners to maintain a steady signal.

For medium and small mines that need high-capacity data without heavy infrastructure, the Hytera BDNode is a purpose-built broadband node that dynamically covers key work areas. For large mines, MCX is deployed as a full-site trunking solution with centralized dispatch, video and sensor telemetry, and automated workflows.
