The Challenge

To ensure a safe and smooth run of the event, the onsite security officers, the referees and rescue teams need to respond quickly to any accidents and emergencies during all the races. The Olympic committee adopted a series of professional communication products from Hytera and empowered the staff and volunteers with reliable and sable communication supports, Hytera's terminals and systems were powerful and rugged at the outdoor competitions under minus 30 degrees. Besides, Hytera also supported the command and dispatch of the health-care workers in the Olympic Village, and protect them to have a non-contact communication when conducting the covid-19 tests.

As part of the modernization program, the Bureau wanted to upgrade the communication and incident recording solutions available to customs staff. It wanted to implement a body worn camera (BWC) system to provide daily recordings and real time viewing capabilities.

The BWC solution was needed to capture video evidence, so the footage could be used to review incidents. BOC also wanted to deploy BWCs at ports throughout the Philippine archipelago to enhance its monitoring activities.
The Solution
The venues for the Games are concentrated upon Beijing, its suburb Yanqing District, and Zhangjiakou. The communications need to be long-distance and wide-range coverage, also to be available among multiple persons and groups. For example, the public safety departments as well as the emergency and respond departments need to safeguard the cities’ daily operations and deal with the emergencies during the Winter Olympics weeks.
